When does ECO4plus start in Wales?
The scheme is scheduled to start on 1/4/23.
How will ECO4Plus work?
There have been changes over past few months. The Government have tried to simplify ECO4plus, and it is now proposed that it will be a £1,500 “voucher”. The voucher can then be used cover or partially cover the cost of the work done.
The types of work that can be done using the grant voucher will be very limited. At this moment, it is proposed that it can only be used for Cavity Wall Insulation, Loft Insulation and Heating Controls. These are the cheaper measures that can significantly reduce fuel bills.
To install cavity wall insulation in a terraced house would cost less than £1,000. External wall insulation on the same property would cost in the region of £7,000.
The most important part of ECO4plus is that everyone will qualify.
What happens next?
